Jurisfiction tee
I'm thinking about buying the Jurisficion T-Shirt, but I wanted to know what the text is under the larger "Jurisfiction". I was wondering if any of you have the shirt and could tell me what it says?

Spratt vs Next
Who's your favourite detective?

I cast the first vote:

Jack Spratt. (On the basis that I'm actually looking forward more to the third NCD book than the fifth TN book.)

Time travel
If anyone has asked this question before, please forgive me - I'm a newbie to the community. I LOVE all of the Thursday Next books but there is one thing I just don't get. If Colonel Next can travel anywhere in time, and he has inadvertently saved Thursday's life once or twice, then why couldn't he save Anton? Why wouldn't he go back and save his son? Any theories?

The Big Over-Easy
Has anyone here read "The Big Over-Easy". This time, the action takes place in an alternate Berkshire and deals with Norsery Crimes.

If so, what can you say....I've been thinking about getting myself a copy now that it has come out at local bookstores.

Fforde Ffestival
Hey, is anyone going to the Fforde Ffestival in Swindon the 16th and 17th September? It looks great, there's a tour of the sights of the 4 Thursday Next books, and apparently Swindon council will be decorating the town to look like it is described in the books, complete with Goliath Corporation and dodo crossing signs. There will also be a reading by Jasper Fforde of a piece written especially for the festival, and a special performace of Hamlet and Richard III (for the audience - by the audience). Full details are here. Is there anyone in the Birmingham area planning on going? If so, could you please get in touch. :-)

Casting call....
Ever thought who would play who in case Hollywood may decide to adapt Jasper Fforde's work?

I think Kate Winslet would make an ideal Thursday next.

Garth Jennings (The Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy) should...should...SHOULD direct.
